Day 48

How excited were we this morning when we woke up for work this morning? Stephanie and Issac posted a gorgeous arrangement of photos from our wedding. We could not believe our eyes {blurry from waking up, I'm sure} but everyone of them were insanely beautiful. Here's the link to the page and for those who are as impatient as I am, here's a few of my favorites:

Thank you Stephanie and Issac, you are truly an amazing couple and your work is incredible! We so appreciate all your hard work and letting us really enjoy our marriage together!

Day 45

I've been listening to a lot of music lately and every time I need a good song, I pop on Mates of State. Chris and I have been listening to this band for years; they are incredible, and remind me of our relationship {pre-marriage}. Most recently they have gone on the road {with their chitlins} to play some shows. Unfortunately CW and I didn't attend their LA shows this past weekend but feel that we should tell you how awesome they are! My wish is to one day have my own band with CW and balance life in one hand and their passion in the other- what great role models! Here are some of my favorite tracks you should listen to:

The Re-Arranger
My Only Offer
Whiner's Bio
Über Legitimate
Jigsaw

I have no idea why, but when I listen to these guys they make all my worries go away! If they are in a town near you, we URGE you to see them- they are incredible LIVE!

Check out Summer Crushes ; you know I have mine!

p.s. Still not 'officially' married, when will this darn marriage certificate come in the mail?

Day 39

Every day, {all day} I log onto one of my favorite site...stephaniewilliamsphotography to check the latest photo shoots Steph and Issac have done...hoping that ours is posted! I'm extremely impatient and when we first took our engagement session photo's I was anxiously awaiting those too, only those only took 2 weeks to post. Above is one of my favorites! I tend to think she knows that I'm constantly on her site {increasing her stats} stocking her for our wedding pix.... maybe this is karma for not sending out those bridal shower thank you's... {shoot}

I guess I know what I'm doing tonight :) As soon as they post, you bet your bottom dollar they'll be on here!!

Day 19, revisited...

WARNING: If you your initials are ADW, {I would advise you to not read this!!} I'm sorry for the below post...
Just a normal work day; Chris and I came home from work and checked the mail box. 3 items were in there- ME of course was trying to touch all of it and "sort" through the junk. There were 2 menus to some Chinese place (CW was all about it) and a letter from the county registrar! Chris turned the envelope around with a HUGE grin on his face. I knew exactly what it was and started jumping up and down like a giddy little girl.... it was our marriage certificate! I was so elated that I had to document the moment- so I whipped out my iPhone and took a picture of Chris opening the certificate. At that very moment, I could remember the moment we went down to the county office to get the certificate and signed my name away. So Chris opens it and it says DENIED! DENIED?? Really? Apparently, {I will not mention names or INITIALS} there was a HUGE mistake on the legal document that they returned the certificate. So after 19 days of being married, our marriage certificate is in limbo. Does this mean we're not married? I asked my nearest and dearest friend if this is a sign....and she replied "Lol yes. That your BIL cannot be trusted with paperwork"
DON'T LISTEN TO HER, SHE DIDN'T KNOW EITHER!... so after a few minutes of basically fuming, we have to go through this process AGAIN.... does that mean I get to wear my wedding dress again? If so, my daily wear is getting some good mileage!
All in all, I guess I cannot be mad; just sad that it's going to take an additional 19 days to get the official document indicating that I'm a Mrs. and not a Ms. At least down the road, this makes for a great story...

TO FINISH THE STORY: Over Father's Day, ADW came over to my parents house. We had the marriage license with us so we could drop it off at Mark Moser's house (our officiant). We had shown Adam the paperwork. Chris said, is this your "2" and Adam in a low voice muttered "Yes".... I was over the "fuming" and laughed about it. We had jetted over to Mark's house to get everything resigned.... when Mark said it was his fault for putting the date and scratching it out. Mark's fault.... OOPS! Sorry Adam. Mark indicated that he accidentally placed the date in the wrong field so he scratched it out. He didn't realize this was a big no no. So after all was said and all was done, I felt HORRIBLE. We drove over to the house and I apologized for my fuming! So, the moral of this story, kids is don't jump to conclusions and make yourself look like an ass like I did! Adam, I'm really sorry for blaming you and writing a post on Day 19... thank you for letting me be me and understanding- I truly am sorry!

Love you brother-in-law!!

"not official, but almost there"

Day 37

About a week and a half ago, Chris' mom celebrated her birthday over her Alaska/Seattle trip...because we weren't there, we decided to have a nice home dinner (belated) over the weekend. Every year, Nancy always told me that her most favorite childhood cake, was a doll cake her mom got her in her early years.... and every year, I think "gosh, I have to make a doll cake for her". So finally, I did! I made her an adorable purple and green doll cake. Chris helped too! We opted to not make it from a kit; instead we created our own 'tools' to form "Nancarella", and have to admit, she was pretty good, too! Nancy was surprised (even though she peeked and pretended that she had never seen it before, thanks Nancy!) and loved it just as much as I did!

So Happy Birthday, Nancy! May this year be filled with tons of love, happiness and sparkle!!

Day 29

Just got our EARS as Husband and Wife!

It's hard to believe, that just 4 weeks ago from yesterday, Chris and I got married. We coined the day our "4 weekiversary" because our 1 monthiversary isn't until next week. After a crazy week for both Chris and I, we decided to go to Disneyland "THE HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH". I don't know what it is, but seriously walking into the park just puts a huge grin on my face. We invited our best friends with us, who hadn't been to Disneyland in over 20 years. I've been trying to persuade them for years to come with us, but we always got the excuses "We're busy" "I don't feel well" "It's market", etc etc. No offense to them, but they were missing out on the Waycott way of doing Disneyland!

Since they agreed, both Chris and I were stoked! We got to the park at 10:15 in the morning and were on our first rides within minutes. One of my favorite buyers at Disneyland surprised Chris and I with Bride/Groom mouse ears and special pins. It was the kindest thing and we had so much fun wearing them. The park smelled like sweet candy. We were shocked at the amount of people who were there and how quick the lines were. It seemed like we just walked onto the rides without standing in any lines. The boys had fun- we let them go on the "BIG KID" rides, while Stacy and I waited.
Waiting in line at The Teacups with the bestie

We ate so much! Stacy was shocked at the amount of food that was there- and I told her you never eat like this until you go to Disneyland. It's hard to say no- to have self control, and she was proof! Thank goodness that we kept park hopping, to burn off the junk!

Teacup overload: enjoying our cup of tea together

By the time we looked at our "watches" {iPhone's}, it was 6:30 (fast pass time for Space Mountain)! We had been in the park for over 8 hours! So we headed from drinking our adult beverages to Space Mountain! It's my favorite ride in the whole park. Even Stacy had a blast on it!
I think I need to warn them when to POSE, I know where the camera is!

We jetted to dinner at DTD {Downtown Disney} and ate at the Jazz Kitchen- listened to the live jazz band, and headed out to go home. We finally got home well after midnight- leaving Disneyland over 12 hours of getting there. We were beat! So until next time, good-bye sweet Disneyland "HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH"! Maybe we'll see you next year: same time, same place for our 1 year 4 weekiversary!
Exhaustion has settled in : Last ride, It's a Small World. AND BOY, isn't it?
