Day 100

A lot has happened over the last 100 days! Chris and I finally got our

marriage certificate this past weekend which makes us officially

husband and wife! It was the best feeling and of course I had to double

and triple check to make sure everything was spelled correctly {just in case}.

About two weeks ago we received an 11lbs box full of our pictures from

the talented Stephanie Williams Photography. We have to pick out 40

images from the batch for our wedding album; let me tell you, what a chore!

So yesterday, we spent a few hours going through the hundreds of photos

trying to pin down the top 40. We ended up with 43 and hopefully they can

edit from there.

We celebrated my birthday; YES, the big 2-8! We’re closing off our 20’s

and feel really good about it. This is just the start of our lives and

are so excited for all the new opportunities that are coming our way.

After all my traveling this month for work, we spent an entire day

with our best friend’s celebrating Brad’s birthday. We took him to

Del Mar – A DAY AT THE RACES. After 4 hours stuck in traffic and

a small detour through Laguna Beach, we got to the race track after the

2nd race. We bet on a few races and really enjoyed our time. On the 9th

race, I had a feeling on a horse, so Chris and I tripled our bet and won

a little over $200.00. We were on cloud 9! The night ended with a

short concert by WEEZER and dinner at Kitchen 1540. It was a nice meal

despite the horrible service we received. All in all, a wonderful way to

celebrate Brad’s birthday!

The next few weeks look very busy! Chris and I are spending

Labor Day weekend in Big Bear! Very excited for a nice and relaxing 4

days hanging out on the lake. I’m co-hosting a baby shower in a few

weeks, lots of pictures to come! Can’t wait to meet baby Bode in October!

Promise to keep up on the blog a little more often! Lots of pictures to come soon!

Day 23

We're Back!! What an awesome weekend! Chris and I had such an amazing time in Palm Springs, that we are talking about heading back in July for my birthday. The weekend was filled with so much fun and good food! The ACE Hotel and Swim Club was so much fun! I have to give them that they have the best pool in town- good drinks and a FUN crowd, plus it's pet friendly! Ok, I was bad, it was also filled with some internet surfing and some texting- AND yet again, a good friend of mine told me to go OFF THE GRID...so I did, but I really didn't! I did; however, open up DELIVERING HAPPINESS, and started to read it- got some good laughs. That Tony Heish guy is a pure genius- I cannot wait to get back to reading it tonight!
Over the weekend, we lounged by the pool and enjoyed some cocktails. This weekend was an iPhone picture weekend. We took a few pic's on the Nikon DSLR but really focused on my new app {hipstamatic} on capturing our amazing minimoon.... here are some pic's for your enjoyment!
OUR GORGEOUS VIEW OF THE JACINTO MOUNTAINS

A LITTLE LOVE WHILE ON VACATION

ACE WAS DEFINITELY THE PLACE TO STAY!

Looking forward to our next adventure....

Day 19

Welcome to our world... our little world of marriage. 19 days since our wedding and it feels like it just happened yesterday. I'll be writing in here so that our friends and family can watch our journey together and keep updated with everything that's happening in WAYCOTT WORLD {Burbank edition}!

Chris and I are gearing up for our "minimoon" this weekend! And for most of you who think it's part of the lunar calendar, it's NOT... it's basically a weekend honeymoon until we take our REAL one later on this year. We're going to Palm Springs! I told myself, there would be no cellular activity all weekend so that we can enjoy our weekend together. The plan is to lounge by the pool and get our tan on.... which basically means we'll be getting burnt to a crisp in the over 100 degree mark. We'll post pictures of our minimoon and let you know when we'll be going on the REAL honeymoon!

With Love,
